Lead Data Platform Engineer
Job Description
Salary: £65,000 - 105,000 per year
Requirements:- Strong experience with DevOps and IaC tooling, including Terraform, CI/CD pipelines, Git, Jenkins, and Harness
- Strong experience developing on Apache Spark/Hadoop
- Strong experience with AWS cloud services, including AWS Glue, S3, and Step
- Strong experience building data pipelines and data lakes
- Experience with the full development lifecycle and application lifecycle management tools, including BitBucket and Jira
- Significant experience programming in Scala or Python
- Experience with configuration as code principles and API integration
- Experience writing clean, scalable, and reusable code that follows SOLID principles, common design patterns where applicable, and published coding standards
- Experience analysing, investigating, and comparing large data sets when required
- Experience with Functions, Lambdas, EventBridge, SQS, and Lake Formation
- Experience with automated testing methodologies
- Lead an outstanding Agile technical team
- Build data pipelines and data lakes
- Deliver quality software
- Collaborate with risk, security, and compliance teams to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and industry standards related to data privacy and security
- Understand overlapping technical requirements across teams and help build technology roadmaps
