Lead Data Platform Engineer

Salary: £65,000 - 105,000 per year

Requirements:

• Strong experience with DevOps and IaC tooling, including Terraform, CI/CD pipelines, Git, Jenkins, and Harness
• Strong experience developing on Apache Spark/Hadoop
• Strong experience with AWS cloud services, including AWS Glue, S3, and Step
• Strong experience building data pipelines and data lakes
• Experience with the full development lifecycle and application lifecycle management tools, including BitBucket and Jira
• Significant experience programming in Scala or Python
• Experience with configuration as code principles and API integration
• Experience writing clean, scalable, and reusable code that follows SOLID principles, common design patterns where applicable, and published coding standards
• Experience analysing, investigating, and comparing large data sets when required
• Experience with Functions, Lambdas, EventBridge, SQS, and Lake Formation
• Experience with automated testing methodologies

• Collaborate with risk, security, and compliance teams to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and industry standards related to data privacy and security
