Solutions Architect - Networking, Legacy, Migrating, Cryptographic

Salary: £33,000 - 71,000 per year

Requirements:

• We are seeking an experienced DV cleared Solutions Architect.
• We require experience in networking, legacy systems, cryptographic systems, and IP migration.
• We require knowledge of secure multi-domain messaging solutions and interoperability across security environments.
• We require familiarity with relevant standards and frameworks, including JSP604/453, STANAG 4406, STANAG 5066, ACP127, and DOI 103.
• We require experience with information assurance processes, security boundaries, Cross-Domain Solutions (CDS), Guard gateways, and PKI token structures.
• We require the ability to support accreditation requirements and work within official security classifications.

Responsibilities:

• We will rely on you to lead the design, governance, and integration of advanced military messaging systems.
• We will expect you to maintain technical design accountability for the messaging solution architecture.
• We will need you to develop and validate high-level and low-level designs for secure message routing across diverse security domains.
• We will ask you to ensure all designs align with relevant standards and protocols.
• We will need you to lead the transition from synchronous serial infrastructure to modern IP-based networks.
• We will ask you to create obsolescence roadmaps for legacy cryptographic hardware and message switching equipment.
• We will expect you to design interim bridging architectures to maintain live service during migration phases.
• We will need you to develop reference architectures for integration with multinational messaging gateways, including CCEB (5-Eyes) and NATO systems.
• We will ask you to standardise technical configurations for secure onboarding of maritime endpoints, including mobile naval units and tactical nodes.
• We will rely on you to act as a trusted technical advisor during project updates and stakeholder workshops.
• We will expect you to communicate effectively and promptly with relevant stakeholders.
