Central Engineering Administrator
Job Description
Salary: £31,000 - 71,000 per year
Requirements:- Excellent organisational skills, including the ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines and maintain accurate records
- Strong Excel skills and confidence using spreadsheets to track information, analyse data and produce reports
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify inconsistencies or missing information
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with a wide range of colleagues
- A proactive approach, with ownership, problem-solving skills and an interest in improving processes
- Comfortable working with numbers; an accounting background is not required
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date project trackers, cost logs and supporting documentation
- Prepare regular reports and project updates for project teams and steering groups, highlighting progress, key activities and areas requiring attention
- Support project meetings by capturing actions, updating records and helping ensure agreed actions are completed on time
- Track project costs against budgets, monitor changes and flag concerns or discrepancies to relevant stakeholders
- Support project governance by helping ensure processes are followed, approvals are documented and information is maintained consistently
- Provide general administrative support to the Central Engineering team and help project teams monitor progress against plans and budgets
- Work with colleagues across Engineering, Operations, Finance, IT and Project teams, ensuring they have information to support informed decisions
