Systems QA Engineer

Salary: £76,000 - 94,000 per year

Requirements:

• Minimum three years experience working as a tester.
• Demonstrable ability to write efficient and effective manual tests.
• Strong interest in the technical side of information technology and software development.
• Working knowledge of Ubuntu or other Linux distributions.
• Experience using defect tracking tools such as Jira and Xray.
• Comfortable using command line tools.
• Debugging and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• STEM degree or similar equivalent qualifications.
• Demonstrable experience with networking.
• Knowledge of vulnerability management and CVE best practices.

Responsibilities:

• Work in our Agile development teams as a Test Engineer.
• Provide high-quality testing services to our engineering team.
• Work closely with developers and the product owner.
• Develop a deep understanding of the product and system under test.
• Design, write, and maintain automated and manual test cases.
• Execute test plans including scripted, exploratory, regression, and integration testing.
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to clarify requirements and resolve defects.
• Participate actively in Agile processes such as sprint planning and reviews.
• Evaluate test results, document defects, and report status to the team.
