Senior Private Cloud Engineer

Salary: £45,000 - 80,000 per year

Requirements:

• Experience with Linux systems.
• Hands-on experience with Terraform, Ansible, or other Infrastructure as Code tools.
• Experience working in a DevOps or SRE environment.
• Programming experience in Python or a similar language.
• Ability to understand and debug compute, networking, and storage issues in large production environments.
• Exposure to modern cloud-native principles.
• Familiarity with observability tools such as Prometheus and Grafana.
• Exposure to large-scale or multi-tenant environments.
• Exposure to GitOps-driven and CI/CD pipelines such as Jenkins, ArgoCD, or FluxCD.
• Contribution to open source projects.

Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and operate a secure OpenStack environment.
• Implement systems using Infrastructure as Code.
• Develop automation and tooling to build and extend the platform.
• Support and enhance infrastructure CI/CD pipelines.
• Monitor, identify, and fix issues across compute, storage, and networking.
• Collaborate with infrastructure and platform teams to support frictionless workflows for our end users.
• Contribute to 24/7 platform reliability, scalability, and performance tuning.
