Operational Technology Engineer (Infrastructure)
Job Description
Salary: £53,711 - 73,451 per year
Requirements:- Minimum HNC / Level 4 qualification in information systems or similar
- Full UK Driving License
- Minimum 3 years experience working in an OT or IT infrastructure support role at 2nd/3rd Line level, including support of VMWare vSphere, Microsoft and RHEL
- Firewall configuration experience
- Cyber Security tooling experience
- Knowledge of Microsoft and Unix based systems
- Knowledge of network communications including firewalls, switches and routers
- Knowledge of VMWare vSphere products
- Ability to work under pressure and manage third party support staff and contractors
- Ability to take ownership of problems and maintain service levels for high profile and critical control systems
- Effective communication skills at all levels of the business
- Highly motivated with strong interpersonal skills and an ability to work methodically through problems until the root cause is understood
- ITIL v4 is desirable
- Level 6 qualification / Degree in Information Systems or similar, or working towards it, is desirable
- Service Now experience is desirable
- Risk Management experience is desirable
- Experience working in OT or highly regulated environments is desirable
- Develop and maintain our Operational Technology infrastructure including VMWare vSphere, Microsoft and Unix based platforms
- Implement and maintain security tooling such as firewalls, AV, SIEM, and vulnerability scanning
- Support the OT Incident and Change process
- Support system testing for new releases and assist projects with testing standards
- Represent OT on infrastructure related projects
