Operational Technology Engineer (Infrastructure)

Salary: £53,711 - 73,451 per year

Requirements:

• Minimum HNC / Level 4 qualification in information systems or similar
• Full UK Driving License
• Minimum 3 years experience working in an OT or IT infrastructure support role at 2nd/3rd Line level, including support of VMWare vSphere, Microsoft and RHEL
• Firewall configuration experience
• Cyber Security tooling experience
• Knowledge of Microsoft and Unix based systems
• Knowledge of network communications including firewalls, switches and routers
• Knowledge of VMWare vSphere products
• Ability to work under pressure and manage third party support staff and contractors
• Ability to take ownership of problems and maintain service levels for high profile and critical control systems
• Effective communication skills at all levels of the business
• Highly motivated with strong interpersonal skills and an ability to work methodically through problems until the root cause is understood
• ITIL v4 is desirable
• Level 6 qualification / Degree in Information Systems or similar, or working towards it, is desirable
• Service Now experience is desirable
• Risk Management experience is desirable
• Experience working in OT or highly regulated environments is desirable

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain our Operational Technology infrastructure including VMWare vSphere, Microsoft and Unix based platforms
• Implement and maintain security tooling such as firewalls, AV, SIEM, and vulnerability scanning
• Support the OT Incident and Change process
• Support system testing for new releases and assist projects with testing standards
• Represent OT on infrastructure related projects
• Implement software releases, patches and service packs
