QA SDET (Python)

Salary: £63,000 - 103,000 per year

Requirements:

• Experience with programming languages and tools including Python, Cucumber-BDD, and GitLab.
• Experience with remote cloud devices such as Perfecto, BrowserStack, HeadSpin, or similar.
• Experience with BlazeMeter, Postman, API testing, and HTTP methods.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills.
• A proactive self-starter.
• Good planning and time-management skills.
• Experience working to tight deadlines under pressure.
• Preferred: experience in conversational/chat testing.
• Preferred: ISTQB Foundation Certification.
• Preferred: knowledge of the telco domain.
• Preferred: experience or interest in chatbot testing.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including software developers, BAs, and product managers, to understand requirements, acceptance criteria, and user stories.
• Communicate with testers, Delivery Managers, and product owners to ensure risk has been mitigated in project delivery.
• Write clear and comprehensive test estimates, and support planning, scheduling, and reporting.
• Work closely with the Test Manager to improve team processes and oversee progress.
• Participate in agile development processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and sprint reviews, to ensure alignment with project timelines and deliverables.
• Take a lead role within a squads day-to-day activities.
• Analyse business specification documents and assist in Test Plans, Test Strategy, Test Scope, and defining test cases.
• Remain focused on continuous improvement of the testing process and help fine-tune QA results.
• Understand functional requirements and design documents and work in a team-oriented environment.
• Perform automation testing.
• Test using tools such as BlazeMeter and Jira.
• Assist management in planning and preparing upcoming projects.
• Provide feedback on PoCs to improve the testing process.
