Technology Support Engineer
Job Description
Salary: £33,000 - 62,000 per year
Requirements:- An understanding of IT industry best practices and procedures, including change, incident, request fulfilment, and problem management processes
- A good level of Windows operating system experience
- Broad technical knowledge of PCs, laptops, peripherals, and their architecture
- Working knowledge of current software packages, including Microsoft Office
- ICT industry experience
- Experience of working as part of a team
- Experience in a customer-facing role
- A valid driving licence
- Implement and maintain IT hardware, software, and licensing to meet agreed targets and deliver high-quality customer support
- Provide local, on-site support for internal customers across community-based workplaces
- Resolve IT incidents and queries promptly in varied and sometimes high-profile situations
- Assist with physical tasks such as moving IT hardware and setting up office spaces
- Share knowledge and upskill colleagues on productivity tools and IT solutions to maximise business benefits
- Adapt to a fast-paced environment and make calm, measured decisions under pressure
- Work flexibly and collaboratively within a mobile team, demonstrating self-motivation and teamwork

We offer a permanent, full-time role based in Harrogate, North Yorkshire, working 37 hours per week on a salary of £25,989 to £29,064 per annum at Grade E-F. We provide a work vehicle for site visits, with travel between our key hubs in Scarborough, Ryedale, Hambleton, Richmondshire, Harrogate, Skipton and Selby, and the role is primarily office-based with opportunities for hybrid working and occasional home working when required.
