Senior Verification Engineer (IP Verification)

Salary: £45,000 - 80,000 per year

Requirements:

• Proven understanding of Verilog/SystemVerilog HDL for digital hardware verification.
• Experience with one or more verification approaches, such as UVM, formal verification, or power-aware verification.
• Experience in SoC verification using embedded low-level programming, including C/C++ tests and assembly language, preferably ARM.
• Exposure to verification stages including requirements collection, verification methodology and test planning, testbench implementation, test development, documentation, and support.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Knowledge of IP/SoC verification flows and strategies.
• Experience with ARM-based builds and/or ARM system architectures.
• Experience with clock-domain crossing verification.
• Experience with GLS and DFT/DFD.
• Experience with UPF power-aware verification.
• Automation experience with shell programming or scripting, such as Tcl, Perl, or Python.
• Willingness to explore and apply AI-based methods to digital verification.
• Preferred: Exposure to formal verification using JasperGold or VC Formal.
• Preferred: Experience in hardware security and cryptographic algorithms.
• Preferred: Understanding of machine-learning algorithms and their applications in verification.
• Preferred: Knowledge of ARM proprietary tools and environments.

Responsibilities:

• Write test plans, define test methodologies, develop C-based software tests and SystemVerilog/Verilog testbenches and tests, and debug test failures and issues.
• Work with project management and leads to plan tasks and schedules and report progress.
• Collaborate with engineers across architecture, design, implementation, modelling, performance analysis, silicon validation, FPGA, and board development teams.
• Verify complex IP, including crypto accelerators, hardware DVFS components, PCIe controllers, and interconnect fabrics, ensuring products work together and with software.
