Senior Full Stack Developer

Salary: £60,000 - 90,000 per year

Requirements:

• Experience with back-end technologies including Java, Spring Boot, JPA, Hibernate, JUnit, RestAssured, microservices, Mockito, and test-driven development (TDD), as well as front-end technologies including React JS, Redux, Axios, JavaScript, and HTML.
• Experience with relational databases; MS SQL is preferred.
• Experience with aPaaS OpenShift V4, GitLab, Jenkins, JIRA, SonarQube, Veracode, NPM, and Maven or Gradle.
• A Computer Science degree or equivalent understanding of Computer Science, object-oriented design, and data structures is valued.
• Experience working in an IT project environment, preferably in banking or financial services and within an Agile model, is valued.
• Experience with messaging queues such as Apache Kafka or IBM MQ is valued.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver high-quality software using industry-aligned languages, frameworks, and tools, ensuring it is scalable, maintainable, and performant.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, engineers, and other stakeholders to define requirements, shape solutions, and align delivery with business objectives.
• Participate in code reviews, share knowledge, and promote code quality.
• Keep up with technology trends and contribute to our technology communities.
• Follow secure coding practices and implement effective unit testing to support reliable, readable software.
• Contribute to modernising our UK Corporate Lending Origination platforms by replacing fragmented legacy processes with a streamlined digital workflow.
• Advise and influence decisions, contribute to policy development, and support operational effectiveness in close collaboration with other functions and business divisions.
• Lead complex work, set objectives, coach colleagues, and assess performance where the role has leadership responsibilities; as an individual contributor, lead collaborative assignments and guide team members through structured work.
• Consult on complex issues, advise People Leaders on escalated matters, identify ways to mitigate risk, and take ownership of risk management and controls.
• Analyse data from multiple sources to solve problems, communicate complex information, and influence stakeholders to achieve outcomes.
