Reference Data Lead - VP

Salary: £62,000 - 102,000 per year

Requirements:

• Experience engaging senior stakeholders, clients, and business partners to capture business and product requirements
• Strong analytical skills and extensive experience documenting functional and technical specifications, epics, and user stories
• Expertise in Master or Reference Data, preferably Instrument or Corporate Actions lifecycle
• Experience with validation and testing in collaboration with Development, QA, and Operations
• Experience with business process reengineering, business systems development, and modern system architectures, including cloud and APIs
• Ability to work independently as a senior individual contributor and manage multiple priorities under pressure
• Proficiency in SQL, data analysis, and understanding data models
• Data-oriented approach and excellent attention to detail
• Preferred: understanding of AI/GenAI fundamentals and structuring AI-ready reference data
• Preferred: exposure to process automation, workflow streamlining, or intelligent data quality checks
• 5+ years of relevant experience
• Proven complex analytical, interpretive, and problem-solving skills
• Proven interpersonal, data analysis, diplomatic, management, and prioritization skills
• Clear and concise written and verbal communication
• Self-motivation, initiative, and ability to master new tasks quickly
• Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and approach work methodically
• Bachelors degree, university degree, or equivalent experience

Responsibilities:

• Lead business and functional requirements, epics, and user stories for complex Corporate Action initiatives
• Drive product backlog management, refinement, and sprint prioritization
• Lead data modelling and mapping across vendors and internal feeds
• Perform data mining, profiling, transformation, and advanced SQL validation
• Work closely with clients across business lines, operational partners, IT, and PMO
• Drive interface strategy and design for web GUIs and APIs
• Lead engagements with internal and external data providers and vendors
• Define and govern Golden Copy rules and vendor source hierarchy logic
• Identify opportunities for automation, process streamlining, and AI-ready data use cases
• Manage senior stakeholder expectations, roadmap delivery, user training, and release governance

Our global Corporate Actions Product & Data Team works on the Global Corporate Action Event Repository, covering vendor data feeds, data analysis and research, SWIFT messages, user interfaces, downstream data publishing, rules and governance, audit, and compliance.
