Job Description

Salary: £30,000 - 70,000 per year

Requirements:
  • Ability to interpret and implement security standards and frameworks such as the ISO/IEC 27000 series or NIST SP 800 series
  • Experience in information assurance, security engineering, cyber security, or a similar field
  • Strong understanding of security risk management and assurance methodologies and processes
  • Experience working across multidisciplinary engineering teams
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to communicate technical security risks to non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience in nuclear, defence, or similarly regulated sectors is desirable
  • Relevant higher education qualification or industry certification, such as CISSP, CISM, or ISO 27001 Lead Implementer/Auditor
  • Ability to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) clearance; the posting states that candidates must be Sole UK Nationals
Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement Information Assurance strategies to meet complex customer security requirements
  • Lead risk management activities aligned with standards such as NIST SP 800-37 or the ISO/IEC 27000 series
  • Create and maintain security documentation, including system security plans, policies, procedures, and compliance evidence
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders, providing expert guidance on security and assurance matters
