Lead DevSecOps Engineer

Salary: £90,000 - 130,000 per year

Requirements:

• Advanced understanding of DevSecOps and experience working in an agile environment, delivering through Scrum and sprints using tools such as Jira and Confluence
• Expert administration of Windows and Linux systems, including Active Directory
• Expertise in virtualization technologies and concepts, including VMware vSphere, Aria Ops performance monitoring, and software-defined networking such as NSX
• Advanced understanding of web proxy servers and configuration, such as Squid
• Experience with automation technologies for complex builds, including Terraform, Ansible, and Packer
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins
• Understanding of Git, Bitbucket, or GitLab integration, coding, and branching strategies
• Proficiency administering containerization technologies, including Kubernetes and Docker
• Proficiency in PowerShell, Bash, and Python scripting
• Proficiency in networking, including IPv4 addressing and routing
• Experience with logging and monitoring tools such as Zabbix and Splunk
• Experience with cloud concepts and technologies, including AWS
• Ability to obtain and maintain eDV security clearance; clearance is not required at the time of application
• Desired: Ability to support the maturation of automated CI/CD software pipelines for cloud deployments
• Desired: Understanding of infrastructure as code and using it to deploy and integrate cloud services
• Desired: Hands-on experience using and integrating AWS services such as EC2, EKS, Fargate, IAM, S3, and Lambda
• Desired: Experience using the AWS SDK (Boto3) to automate integration tasks
• Desired: Experience or understanding of hybrid-cloud application deployments

Responsibilities:

• Design, build, deploy, and manage IT infrastructure aligned with customer needs, applying infrastructure engineering best practices to maintain reliability and scalability, with a focus on automation and repeatability
• Develop infrastructure-as-code and scripts, and integrate them with CI/CD pipelines and the wider tools ecosystem to streamline deployments
• Manage the full systems lifecycle, from architecture and design through deployment and support to decommissioning and migration
• Support the integration and delivery of large, complex solutions into a wider system of systems, ensuring infrastructure components are robust and interoperable
• Deploy in public, private, and hybrid cloud environments, addressing constraints while optimizing infrastructure performance and security
