Infrastructure Engineer

Salary: £40,000 - 40,000 per year

Requirements:

• We are looking for someone with previous experience supporting enterprise IT infrastructure in a 2nd or 3rd line capacity.
• We need a strong understanding of Microsoft server and cloud technologies, including Windows Server, Active Directory and Microsoft 365.
• Experience working with virtualised environments, networking and infrastructure technologies is required, with exposure to Azure, VMware or SQL Server being advantageous.
• We are looking for a proactive approach to troubleshooting, infrastructure improvements and technical project work.
• You must be able to communicate technical information clearly with both technical and non-technical colleagues.
• A genuine enthusiasm for technology and a desire to continue developing infrastructure knowledge is important.
• Experience within a manufacturing or multi-site environment would be beneficial, but it is not essential.

Responsibilities:

• We will have you providing 2nd and 3rd line support for infrastructure-related issues.
• You will administer and maintain Windows Server, Active Directory and Microsoft 365 environments.
• You will support Azure cloud services and hybrid infrastructure.
• You will manage VMware virtual environments and on-premise servers.
• You will monitor and maintain network infrastructure, firewalls and security solutions.
• You will support infrastructure upgrades, migrations and new technology implementations.
• You will produce and maintain technical documentation.
• You will work closely with colleagues across the wider IT function to deliver secure, reliable and resilient IT services.
• You will identify opportunities to improve performance, security and operational efficiency.
