Job Description

Salary: £44,000 - 84,000 per year

Requirements:
  • Were looking for approximately 2–6 years of experience in cloud engineering, infrastructure, platform engineering, systems administration, DevOps, or a related technical role.
  • We require practical experience with at least one major cloud platform, such as AWS, Azure, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), or Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Prior OCI experience is beneficial but not essential; we provide training.
  • We require a good understanding of core infrastructure concepts, including networking, virtual machines, operating systems, identity and access management, storage, and security principles.
  • Were looking for experience with scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or PowerShell, and exposure to infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or similar technologies.
  • We value familiarity with source control, CI/CD pipelines, and modern software delivery practices. Experience with Git, Azure DevOps, GitHub, Jenkins, containers, or Kubernetes is advantageous.
  • Were looking for strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, including the ability to investigate technical issues and identify practical solutions.
  • We require the ability to communicate technical concepts effectively, verbally and in writing, with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • We value a collaborative team player who takes ownership of their work, contributes positively to project delivery, and is keen to learn from experienced colleagues.
  • We require a degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience and professional certifications.
  • Candidates must be eligible to obtain UK Security Check (SC) clearance.
Responsibilities:
  • Well ask you to assist with deploying, configuring, and managing Oracle Cloud resources, including compute, storage, and networking components.
  • Youll write and maintain infrastructure-as-code scripts using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or shell scripting.
  • Youll monitor system performance, identify issues, and assist in resolving cloud infrastructure incidents.
  • Youll support the implementation of cloud security best practices and compliance with government regulations and standards.
  • Youll help implement backup strategies and disaster recovery solutions to ensure service continuity.
  • Youll work closely with our DevOps, security, and software development teams to support continuous integration and deployment pipelines.
  • Youll maintain accurate, detailed documentation of cloud environments, configurations, and procedures.
  • Youll stay current with Oracle Cloud services, tools, and best practices through continuous learning and on-the-job experience.
