Salary: £62,000 - 102,000 per year

Requirements:
  • UK Security Clearance, in place due to current or previous work across UK government
  • 3+ years of experience in a similar pre-sales role within the technology industry
  • Broad technical knowledge, including enterprise architecture, architecture standards and cloud platforms
  • Passion for AI and its potential to make the world safer, healthier and fairer, with experience in areas such as data management, AI, analytics, fraud detection and intelligence
  • Practical hands-on skills using SAS technology, including the SAS Viya Platform (SAS Studio, VA and VI), or similar technology
  • Comfort delivering proof of concepts, pilots and customised demonstrations, particularly in fraud and investigations
  • Willingness to travel to customer sites as required and work hands-on in customer-facing situations
  • Skills in translating business and technology requirements into compelling solutions
  • Clear and engaging storytelling, presentation, writing and demonstration skills for technical and executive audiences
  • Workshop facilitation, discovery, requirements gathering and creative problem-solving skills
  • Influencing, negotiation and objection-handling skills
  • Curiosity, adaptability and commitment to continuous learning
  • Strong organisation, prioritisation and project leadership skills
Responsibilities:
  • Act as the primary technical contact between clients and SAS, translating client business needs into value-generating solutions based on our software, cloud products and associated services
  • Define and execute the technical strategy in alignment and close partnership with the account executive and wider engagement team
  • Provide technical and pre-sales leadership for new business opportunities, engaging technical and business audiences
  • Define and own the technical engagement plan, and build and lead multidisciplinary teams pursuing opportunities with central government organisations, including defence, national security, law enforcement, HMRC and DWP
  • Address complex customer situations using knowledge of industry standards, our solutions and customers technology landscapes to help deliver positive outcomes for both customers and SAS
  • Deliver a high-quality, high-impact customer experience and demonstrate our value through presentations, discussions, demonstrations and proofs of concept
  • Use technical and industry knowledge to develop a compelling vision, influence stakeholders, tailor materials to different audiences, and use influencing and negotiation skills to address objections
  • Facilitate workshops, gather requirements and deliver software demonstrations as needed
