Principal Embedded Software Engineer

Salary: £59,000 - 99,000 per year

Requirements:

• 10+ years of experience as a Principal Embedded Engineer
• Strong experience in embedded systems design and development
• Proficiency in C and assembler
• Strong experience with Real-Time Operating Systems
• Familiarity with safety-critical software development standards, such as IEC 61508, DO-178B/C, ISO 26262, and IEC 62304
• Experience developing software within a controlled development environment
• Low-level embedded engineering experience, such as Cortex-M3, M4, or A7
• Knowledge of networking protocols
• Experience with embedded software security and multicore device development
• Experience with software requirements and configuration management
• Experience managing projects, including planning, scheduling, and resource allocation
• Ability to mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance

Responsibilities:

• Contribute to the architecture, design, and implementation of safety-critical embedded software
• Provide technical leadership within projects
• Mentor junior engineers
