Cyber Security Engineer

Salary: £39,000 - 79,000 per year

Requirements:

• Must have lived continuously in the UK for the last 5 years due to the security clearance requirement.
• Excellent teamwork, problem-solving, and written and verbal communication skills.
• Proactive self-starter with proven customer service skills and the ability to work independently without supervision.
• Experience designing, building, and optimizing security tools and platforms.
• Strong knowledge of security, network, and infrastructure technologies.
• Proven ability to develop automation using modern DevOps practices to enhance security operations.
• Understanding of social engineering tactics, phishing attacks, and physical security measures.
• Experience with secured cloud architectures, including Azure and AWS, and tools such as Microsoft Defender for Endpoint and Microsoft Sentinel.
• Relevant Microsoft accreditations such as AZ-900, MS-900, or SC-100 are preferred; additional AI or Machine Learning Operations certifications are highly desirable.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver detection and response services, vulnerability scanning, dark web monitoring, social engineering assessments, and detailed reporting.
• Maintain and enhance clients security posture by mitigating vulnerabilities and addressing malicious incidents.
• Collaborate with a multi-disciplined security team to deliver proactive and reactive security tasks.
• Act as a technical escalation point for complex security events and incidents, using structured problem-solving techniques.
• Manage the containment and remediation of potential and actual malicious incidents across our customer base.
• Build and maintain scalable security tooling and integrations using DevOps practices, including CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code.
• Help operationalize AI-driven capabilities to improve threat detection and response.
• Work with internal and external stakeholders to resolve security incidents and ensure vulnerability compliance.
• Support customer satisfaction and continuous improvement in operational performance.
• Keep up to date with the threat landscape, including threat actors, TTPs, and vulnerabilities.
