HR Data Engineer

Salary: £37,000 - 77,000 per year

Requirements:

• Python and SQL scripting for data conversion and migration
• ETL and industry-standard migration tools
• Oracle HCM or equivalent business-object and HDL mass-load templates, plus OTBI or BI Publisher
• Medium-to-high complexity RPA design and build
• Medium-to-advanced Power BI skills, including Power Query and DAX
• Knowledge of master-data standards, exception handling, structured error resolution, and data privacy and security by design
• Ability to independently design medium-to-high complexity solutions
• Experience delivering projects using recurring or cookbook patterns
• Agile ways of working and systematic, process-first thinking
• A proven track record of achievement relevant to this role

Responsibilities:

• Independently design, build, support, and troubleshoot medium-to-high complexity data solutions for transformation, migration, and operational or migration-support reporting, following best-practice standards
• Develop and operate Python and SQL automation for data conversion in recurring, cookbook-driven implementation projects
• Use industry-standard migration tools to transform and load data into target systems
• Ensure converted data complies with HR master-data standards; identify and reject exceptions before loading, and resolve loading errors during migrations and live operations
• Tailor Oracle HCM business-object mass-load templates to recurring needs, creating reusable templates for the HR Data Management Operations team
• Design and build Python components for medium-to-high complexity, end-to-end RPA flows that support mass data creation and maintenance in compliance with master-data standards
• Plan data-cleansing and migration steps and timelines, track progress against project plans and standards, and manage data-owner relationships through completion
• Apply an understanding of HR process dependencies to sequence migrations and structure HR master data for process and analytical needs
