Senior Test Engineer

Requirements:

• Proven experience with Informatica PowerCenter
• Proven experience with Oracle
• Experience defining test strategy and leading test engineering teams
• Experience planning and coordinating functional and non-functional testing
• Experience managing and prioritising defects with the business
• Experience communicating test results to technical and non-technical stakeholders
• It would be beneficial to have experience with AWS
• It would be beneficial to have experience with automation testing
• It would be beneficial to have experience with SQL and working with large data sets
• Hold or be eligible to obtain SC clearance

Responsibilities:

• Define the overall testing strategy
• Provide technical leadership across multiple test engineering teams
• Own delivery of testing activities against quality, time and cost objectives
• Act as the escalation point for defects and blockers
• Shape test infrastructure and tooling decisions
• Drive standardisation and best practice by sharing reusable libraries, lessons learned and reporting approaches with stakeholders

We are recruiting for a Senior Test Engineer for a central government department on an initial 6-month contract, paying up to £600 per day inside IR35. This is a hybrid role based across multiple UK sites, including Birmingham, Sheffield, Newcastle, Manchester, Blackpool and Leeds, with an expectation to spend around 3 days a week on site.
