Senior Java Developer EFX

Salary: £58,000 - 98,000 per year

Requirements:

• Highly technical with solid years of Java server-side development experience.
• Full technology stack knowledge from Java to Linux and networks.
• KDB / Q experience.
• Prior pricing or algo-trading experience in any asset class.
• Excellent communication skills to engage with tech management, Quantitative Strategies Group and the trading desk.
• Full SDLC experience, including Git, Jenkins and Ansible.
• Advanced programming skills, including algorithms and data structures, design patterns and multi-threading.
• Strong team player.
• Experience in 3rd line production support.

Responsibilities:

• Develop new realtime, low-latency pricing services for FX Spot, swaps pricing and NDF auto-hedging.
• Develop new features and enhancements to existing pricing and auto-hedging services for Spot and NDF.
• Update the existing codebase as required by external venue upgrades and internal and external regulatory requirements.
• Fully engage with the Agile SDLC.
• Work alongside Quantitative Strategies Group to review code and enhance backtesting capabilities.
• Solve problems independently, manage our own workload, engage other teams where required, escalate appropriately and proactively drive tasks to completion.
• Develop Java code and review code written by colleagues.
• Attend Agile ceremonies.
• Refine requirements with users and liaise with sibling teams in EFX, including market access, dashboard and price distribution.
• Provide occasional L3 support.
