Senior Systems Engineer – Biotech Platform Development
Job Description
Salary: £45,000 - 85,000 per year
Requirements:- Experience in systems engineering, product development, or technical project delivery within biotech, diagnostics, or medical devices
- Solid understanding of regulated product development
- Ideally some exposure to startup environments, IP creation, or cross-functional team collaboration
- A background in mechanical, biomedical, or electronic engineering would be ideal
- Take technical ownership of complex, multidisciplinary systems
- Support the development and delivery of next-generation medical diagnostics and biomanufacturing platforms
- Work across engineering and R&D teams to support the design, integration, and commercialisation of semiconductor-based and biocomputing technologies
- Contribute to product architecture and documentation to ISO 13485 standards
- Deliver systems that combine hardware, software, and biology
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to align technical execution with broader programme goals
