Senior Systems Engineer – Biotech Platform Development

Salary: £45,000 - 85,000 per year

Requirements:

• Experience in systems engineering, product development, or technical project delivery within biotech, diagnostics, or medical devices
• Solid understanding of regulated product development
• Ideally some exposure to startup environments, IP creation, or cross-functional team collaboration
• A background in mechanical, biomedical, or electronic engineering would be ideal

Responsibilities:

• Take technical ownership of complex, multidisciplinary systems
• Support the development and delivery of next-generation medical diagnostics and biomanufacturing platforms
• Work across engineering and R&D teams to support the design, integration, and commercialisation of semiconductor-based and biocomputing technologies
• Contribute to product architecture and documentation to ISO 13485 standards
• Deliver systems that combine hardware, software, and biology
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to align technical execution with broader programme goals
