Founding Marketer (m/f/x)

xHeron is building the Service-as-Software company for short-term rental operators. We own the outcome, the responsibility, and the industry standards. Traditionally, operators had two options: build and manage an internal 24/7 operation or hand over the business to a full-service property manager. We take on the operating scope directly, serving the most critical part of any hospitality business at scale: Guest Operations.

We bootstrapped to high six figures ARR in 18 months, across 500+ units, and have just closed our Pre-Seed. We're setting out to define the new standard for how short-term rental operators run their business.

Tasks

The Role

You'll be xHeron's first content and brand hire, working directly with both Founders. Your mission: be the creative genius behind xHeron and build the scalable content engine.

This isn't a role where you inherit a content calendar. You'll come up with your own creative schedule, shoot and edit your own creatives, publish, and iterate fast on what actually works, mixing founder-led content with content that's entirely your own. You'll be critical to xHeron's brand and market presence.

There's no ceiling on this. Prove the motion, and you decide what's next: Head of Content, Head of Brand, Head of Growth. Where you are in 12 months is up to you.

What You'll Own

• Creative direction & production: Own the full creative process across formats (video, written, social), from concept through production and posting, across founder-led and original content.
• Content engine & systems: Build your own publishing cadence, tools, and workflow, one that's scalable enough to run beyond DACH.
• Performance & iteration: Track what's actually landing, kill what doesn't work, and double down on what does.

Requirements

What Makes You a Great Fit

• You're entrepreneurial: you operate like a founder, figuring things out and creating your own path.
• You have real creative range: you can write a hook that stops the scroll, shoot and edit a video, and design a graphic, without waiting on someone else to do it for you.
• You've grown an audience or a brand's organic presence before, yours, a founder's, or a company's, and can show the receipts.
• You have taste and humour: you know what's boring, what's good, and what will actually travel.
• You're a native German speaker.

You May Not Be a Great Fit If

• You want a content calendar and strategy handed to you rather than building them.
• You only want the "strategic" parts and skip the actual writing and editing.
• You've never grown an audience or a content channel from scratch.
• You're not interested in transitioning into a leadership role.
• You're looking for a defined 9-to-5.
