Test Automation Engineer (Playwright)

Requirements:

• Minimum 2–3 years of commercial experience with Playwright; more experience is preferred
• Proven experience designing and implementing test automation frameworks from scratch
• TypeScript coding skills and technical depth
• Strong experience in UI test automation
• Ability to work closely with technical and business teams to establish automation standards and best practices
• Experience mentoring or coaching teams and sharing automation knowledge
• Performance testing experience is advantageous, including tools such as JMeter, k6, or LoadRunner
• Experience using Xray as a test management tool is advantageous
• Previous experience in the pensions sector is advantageous

Responsibilities:

• Design and build a Playwright-based automation framework for the Nexus Programme
• Develop and maintain automated UI test suites
• Work closely with the Calculations Team to transfer knowledge and embed automation practices
• Establish automation standards, reusable components, and framework governance
• Support the wider programme in increasing automation coverage and improving quality assurance processes
