Test Automation Engineer

Salary: £45,000 - 45,000 per year

Requirements:

• We require a minimum of 2 years of experience in software testing as an Automation Test Engineer or SDET.
• We require proficiency in either Java or JavaScript.
• We require hands-on experience with Selenium for test automation.
• We require strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
• We require excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
• We require the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• Desirable: ISTQB Foundation Level Certification.
• Desirable: experience using JIRA Software for test case management and defect tracking.
• Desirable: familiarity with Agile methodologies and practices.
• Desirable: understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes.
• Desirable: knowledge or experience with automated testing frameworks and tools.
• Desirable: experience with Cucumber for BDD and test automation.
• Desirable: familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure DevOps.
• Desirable: experience testing Workday applications or similar enterprise systems.
• Desirable: knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests into DevOps processes.

Responsibilities:

• We collaborate with Developers and Product Owners to understand testing requirements and objectives.
• We develop BDDs, test cases, and test scripts based on User Stories and Acceptance Criteria.
• We execute test cases and document test results, identifying and prioritising defects for resolution.
• We contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes and methodologies.
• We communicate effectively with project team members to ensure timely delivery of testing activities.
• We provide support and guidance to junior team members as needed.
• We design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium or Jest for functional and regression testing.
• We utilise Cucumber for behavior-driven development (BDD) and ensure alignment between technical and business requirements.
• We work with cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure DevOps to integrate and execute automated tests in CI/CD pipelines.
• We conduct testing for Workday applications, ensuring data integrity, functionality, and performance.
