Swaps Developer

Salary: £70,000 - 110,000 per year

Requirements:

• Technically minded and comfortable acting as both architect and hands-on developer
• Strong and experienced C++ developer
• Capable Java developer with coding experience in the workplace
• Strong hands-on experience with multi-threading and real-time systems
• Experience using SQL, preferably MS SQL Server
• Experience with Git-based source control platforms, beneficial
• Experience with Atlassian products including Confluence, JIRA, and BitBucket, beneficial
• Experience developing and supporting Windows technology applications, both desktop UI and server-side
• Familiarity with developing for Linux deployment
• Knowledge of swaps desirable, preferably with prior experience in this or a related area
• Excellent communication skills, as this is a front office role
• Ability to perform well under pressure and deliver to tight deadlines
• Ability to work with colleagues around the world

Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership as required to ensure successful delivery of a project
• Own specific projects or issues from start to finish, including documentation
• Work with global colleagues, stakeholders, and management to ensure appropriate prioritisation
• Write high quality code, perform unit testing, work with QA, and oversee the production release cycle
• Provide 2nd line trade support queries

The role focuses on developing and maintaining our Equity Swaps platform, supporting front and middle office users across multiple time zones.
