Software Engineer - Altrincham

Salary: £50,000 - 60,000 per year

Requirements:

• Solid commercial Java development experience
• Good software engineering fundamentals
• Care about writing clean, maintainable and well-tested code
• Be comfortable contributing to production systems within an Agile environment
• Enjoy collaborating with other Developers rather than working in isolation
• Want to develop skills across testing, cloud technologies and modern engineering tooling
• Be curious and willing to learn

Responsibilities:

• Work on large-scale, business-critical systems in a complex, highly regulated domain
• Build and enhance reliable, scalable software as part of a cross-functional Scrum team
• Collaborate closely with Product Managers, UX Designers, Test Analysts and fellow Engineers
• Contribute ideas and challenge existing approaches
• Help improve engineering practices across the team
• Work within Agile and XP practices, including TDD, pairing, continuous integration and shared ownership
