Software Engineer
Job Description
Salary: £40,000 - 55,000 per year
Requirements:- We require 5 years of software engineering experience, ideally in full-stack-focused roles.
- We require proven experience building production applications with React and NodeJS.
- We require familiarity with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MS SQL, or MySQL.
- We require experience writing well-maintained, testable code using frameworks like Vitest or Jest.
- We require familiarity with modern RBAC authentication frameworks.
- Nice to have: experience with Expo, React Native, or native mobile development for Android or iOS.
- Nice to have: experience with tRPC or similar backend layers.
- Nice to have: experience with Turborepo or similar monorepo-style projects.
- Nice to have: experience with cloud deployments on AWS, Azure, or Vercel, including containerized or bare-metal production environments.
- Nice to have: experience with .NET for legacy system maintenance.
- Nice to have: experience with NextJS, Tanstack Start, or similar React frameworks.
- Nice to have: experience with Tanstack tools such as Query, DB, or Form.
- Nice to have: interest in or background with security and infrastructure.
- Nice to have: experience working within ISO 27001 or similar compliance frameworks such as SOC2.
- We value strong problem-solving skills with a methodical approach to debugging and failure analysis.
- We value excellent written and verbal communication and the ability to explain technical decisions clearly.
- We value a proactive, self-directed approach with the ability to manage multiple priorities and take ownership of outcomes.

- We design, build, and maintain full-stack applications using NodeJS, React, and Typescript.

- We deliver features and projects end to end, from requirements through to production deployment.
- We work with modern tooling to build large-scale, maintainable applications.
- We implement testing, monitoring, and observability to ensure applications run reliably in production.
- We build applications with security best practices aligned to ISO 27001 standards.
- We contribute to technical documentation and clear issue tracking.
- We take ownership of assigned projects.
- We mentor and support junior developers through reviews, pair programming, and mentoring.
- We contribute to system design decisions and technical roadmap planning.
- We identify and champion improvements to development processes and tooling.
- We begin implementing smart features powered by ML/AI in a product-first manner.
- We participate in security audits and vulnerability assessments, with growth potential to help lead internal audits.
