Software Developer

Salary: £60,000 - 60,000 per year

Requirements:

• At least 5 years of experience using C# as a primary programming language
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and well-designed code
• Regularly practices test-driven development (TDD) and a unit-test-first approach
• Experience working in an Agile Scrum team and familiarity with its ceremonies and artefacts
• Ability to build or modify SQL tables and stored procedures in a relational database system
• Ability to write high-quality, well-designed code and use agreed technical frameworks
• Ability to contribute effectively to a Scrum team and manage data engineering and database design activities
• Ability to provide accurate estimates, manage multiple development activities and deliver against requirements
• Strong collaboration and communication skills, with a commitment to continuous learning and development
• Experience designing code in accordance with SOLID principles
• Experience building APIs with Swagger or OpenAPI
• Experience building applications with one or more Azure PaaS services, such as Azure Service Bus, Azure Functions, Azure API Management, Azure Logic Apps or Azure Data Factory
• Experience writing CI/CD, build and deployment pipelines using Azure DevOps or YAML
• Experience automating API tests, for example with Postman

Responsibilities:

• Write code, unit tests and documentation, and resolve bugs as needed
• Share progress through our Scrum processes
• Actively contribute to your Scrum team and our wider Product Engineering community
• Take part in sprint ceremonies, team events and related activities
• Use agreed technical frameworks to design software elements and contribute to larger elements as part of your team
• Manage data needed for the role, including conversion and test-data generation
• Design and create relevant MS SQL database elements
• Manage artefacts in Azure DevOps
• Provide accurate estimates
• Contribute productively to the Scrum team
• Own code throughout the product lifecycle, understand market intent and refine outputs in conjunction with customer usage data
