Senior Developer

Salary: £43,000 - 73,000 per year

Requirements:

• We ideally have 5 years experience as a Software Developer.
• We have previous experience managing and leading a team.
• We have an excellent understanding of coding methods and best practices.
• We have prior experience interviewing end-users for insight into functionality, interface, problems, and usability issues.
• We have hands-on experience developing test cases and test plans.
• We have knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws.
• ITIL Foundation or Intermediate Certification is preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities:

• We manage, support, and provide guidance to the existing development team.
• We develop, test, and maintain the existing Case Management System.
• We research, design, document, and modify software specifications throughout the production life cycle.
• We assist in defining software development project plans, including scoping, scheduling, and implementation.
• We analyse and assess existing business systems and procedures.
• We liaise with network administrators, systems analysts, and software engineers to help resolve problems with software products or company software systems.
• We design and build bespoke applications and portals leveraging Microsoft PowerApps.
• We write, translate, and code software programs and applications according to specifications.
• We write programming scripts to enhance functionality and/or performance of company applications.
• We design, run, and monitor software performance tests on new and existing programs to correct errors, isolate areas for improvement, and support debugging.
• We generate statistics and write reports for management and/or team members on the status of the programming process.
• We extend Case Management processes using T-SQL and .NET technologies, such as C#, by building external functions that enhance the existing functionality of the Proclaim system.
• We test and implement hotfixes and upgrades to the Case Management system.
• We carry out regular checks to ensure Task Servers are operational and to clear KPI errors, matter integrity issues, and MIWH integrity issues.
