Remote Mesa/Graphics Software Developer

Salary: £60,000 - 100,000 per year

Requirements:

• Experience with direct contributions to the Mesa 3D Graphics Library, including OpenGL, Vulkan, DRI, and Gallium drivers
• Linux experience
• Knowledge of open-source development methodologies and relevant open-source communities
• Good English language skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to work and communicate in an online, fully distributed environment
• Experience with CI tools such as Jenkins/LAVA and GitLab CI is a plus
• Experience with testing tools such as Piglit, GL/Vulkan CTS, and dEQP is a plus
• Self-learning ability to quickly gain knowledge of our services, business model, project delivery lifecycle, and related technical domains is a plus
• BS/BA or equivalent experience in an engineering role is a plus

Responsibilities:

• Discuss technology with clients and represent us at conferences and trade shows to demonstrate and promote our leadership in the open-source arena
• Analyze client problems and design solutions leveraging open-source technologies and our technical expertise
• Define and scope client projects in collaboration with our delivery team
• Contribute publicly to open-source projects to ensure our continuing technical leadership
• Gain working knowledge of customers products, applications, technical and business strengths, and target markets
• Understand client needs while balancing time constraints, available technologies and resources, and open-source best practices

Our Graphics domain team contributes across the Linux graphics stack, from the Linux kernel up through graphics toolkits, including DRI, kernel-mode graphics drivers, Wayland/Weston, OpenGL, Vulkan, OpenGL/EGL, and other open-source graphics drivers within the Mesa 3D Graphics Library.
