Python Software Engineer

Salary: £60,000 - 74,000 per year

Requirements:

• Hands-on experience in Python and a web development framework such as Django, along with JavaScript/TypeScript, ideally in cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Strong understanding of core software engineering principles.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and version control.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team.
• Willingness to learn new tools, technologies, and domain knowledge.
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
• Exposure to frameworks such as React, Node.js, Terraform, Celery, or containerisation.
• Understanding of database schema design and query optimisation.
• Familiarity with infrastructure as code, cloud-native services, or distributed systems.

Responsibilities:

• Play a key part in implementing high-quality software.
• Collaborate with Senior Engineers, Product, QA, DevOps, UX/UI, Principal Engineers, and Architects.
• Contribute to solid engineering execution and problem-solving.
• Develop deeper technical capability with increasing autonomy over time.
