Python Software Engineer
Job Description
Salary: £60,000 - 74,000 per year
Requirements:- Hands-on experience in Python and a web development framework such as Django, along with JavaScript/TypeScript, ideally in cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Strong understanding of core software engineering principles.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and version control.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team.
- Willingness to learn new tools, technologies, and domain knowledge.
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
- Exposure to frameworks such as React, Node.js, Terraform, Celery, or containerisation.
- Understanding of database schema design and query optimisation.
- Familiarity with infrastructure as code, cloud-native services, or distributed systems.
- Play a key part in implementing high-quality software.
- Collaborate with Senior Engineers, Product, QA, DevOps, UX/UI, Principal Engineers, and Architects.
- Contribute to solid engineering execution and problem-solving.
- Develop deeper technical capability with increasing autonomy over time.
