Product Owner
Job Description
Salary: £58,000 - 98,000 per year
Requirements:- We are looking for candidates with experience working as a Product Owner in a SAFe or scaled Agile environment.

- Desirable: familiarity with tools such as Azure DevOps (ADO).
- Desirable: SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager (POPM) certification.
- We own and manage the Team Backlog, ensuring it is prioritised based on value, risk, and strategic alignment.
- We translate Features into well-defined User Stories with clear acceptance criteria.
- We ensure every story links to a Feature outcome and contributes to measurable value using the ROCKETS framework.
- We continuously refine and prioritise work based on feedback, data, and learning.
- We act as the primary interface between Product Management, Business Owners, and Agile Teams.
- We collaborate with stakeholders across faculties and professional services to understand data needs.
- We ensure alignment between business priorities and technical delivery.
- We communicate progress, risks, and value delivered to stakeholders.
- We actively contribute to PI Planning, Iteration Planning, Backlog Refinement, System Demos, and Inspect & Adapt.
- We support the team in delivering committed PI Objectives.
- We provide clarity on priorities and accept or reject completed stories.
- We define and prioritise requirements for data products.
- We ensure data solutions are aligned to enterprise data architecture, governance, and compliance standards.
- We work closely with Data Engineers, Analysts, and Architects to ensure feasible and sustainable solutions.
- We define success criteria and outcome metrics for Features and Stories.
- We track value through outcomes, adoption, behaviour change, and cost versus benefit.
- We contribute to quarterly value reporting aligned to ROCKETS.
- We promote a test-and-learn mindset, supporting MVP delivery and iterative development.
- We participate in Inspect & Adapt workshops to improve flow and outcomes.
- We identify opportunities to reduce waste, duplication, and inefficiencies across data products.
