Product Manager Embedded Payroll Services

Salary: £61,000 - 101,000 per year

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of product management experience, preferably within HR, payroll, or a related compliance-heavy domain
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data, regulatory requirements, and customer insight to make well-reasoned product decisions
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across technical and non-technical audiences
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and workstreams in a fast-paced environment
• A genuine interest in AI and how advances in technology can be applied to improve both product capability and team productivity
• Experience working with APIs, integrations, platform services, partner ecosystems, or embedded software
• Familiarity with compliance and regulatory requirements in payroll, tax, or employment law across one or more markets
• Experience with product-led growth approaches and usage-driven prioritisation

Responsibilities:

• Work on our HR & Payroll domain services as a platform product manager, focusing on APIs, reusable services, and scalable architecture
• Build for a broad set of personas, including our product teams, accountants, partners, and developer communities
• Understand the existing payroll domain services, including their architecture, roadmap, partner integrations, and internal and external customers
• Build relationships with Engineering, Data, Compliance, and Go-to-Market colleagues, and support the partner and developer ecosystem
• Contribute to and help shape the HR & Payroll services roadmap, balancing compliance requirements, partner needs, platform scalability, and growth outcomes
• Engage directly with partners and customers to validate assumptions and identify gaps
• Brief requirements into the team with well-defined, measurable outcomes
• Contribute end-to-end to the embedded payroll services roadmap
• Sequence and align compliance priorities with the team
• Develop and reflect a clear point of view on where AI can drive productivity improvements in our work and services
• Measure success through adoption, revenue, retention, roadmap quality, partner satisfaction, clear feature briefs, and product-led growth metrics
