Principal Product Manager - AI - London

Salary: £30,000 - 32,000 per year

Requirements:

• Extensive product management experience, including complex products, platforms, or cross-functional product systems, ideally in B2B SaaS or fintech.
• A track record of shaping strategy beyond a single squad and turning it into sustained customer and business outcomes.
• Experience with AI, ML, automation, or data products; you should understand model capabilities, limitations, evaluation, data dependencies, and operational risk, though you do not need to be an ML engineer.
• Strong judgment in ambiguous situations and the ability to distinguish important problems from attractive distractions.
• Ability to structure complex systems, workflows, and stakeholder landscapes, then make key trade-offs clear.
• Excellent communication and storytelling skills, including the ability to align senior leaders and make complex strategy actionable.
• Proven ability to influence without authority and improve the judgment of people around you.
• Strong ownership of quality, trust, security, and the consequences of product decisions.
• Entrepreneurial spirit and readiness to help shape an early-stage company story.

Responsibilities:

• Define durable AI product direction across several product areas, connecting customer problems, company priorities, technical realities, and commercial opportunities.
• Identify consequential problems that extend beyond a single squad and frame them as focused, evidence-backed bets.
• Assess where AI can create value through faster work, greater reliability, or new intelligence, and explain why AI is preferable to deterministic automation.
• Make trade-offs visible across value, adoption, quality, risk, data readiness, capacity, and opportunity cost.
• Own outcomes end to end, including baselines, targets, quality guardrails, launches, adoption, and post-release learning.
• Bring coherence to a portfolio of agents and AI features, as well as the shared data foundations behind them.
• Partner with Engineering, Design, Data, Security, Finance, and go-to-market teams to clarify ownership, decision rights, and dependencies.
• Support other PMs and squads through thought partnership, reusable principles, and clear product narratives that reduce dependency on the AI squad.
