Principal Platform Architect

Salary: £37,000 - 68,500 per year

Requirements:

• Proven track record of leading large-scale cloud transformation programmes, including cloud migration, modernisation, platform engineering, and enterprise deployments.
• Strong background in making and executing technology decisions that drive positive business and customer outcomes.
• Experience working with senior stakeholders, including executive and C-level leaders, with the ability to communicate technical insights clearly and persuasively.
• In-depth knowledge of public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) across IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS models.
• Background in managing, coaching, and developing technology professionals within teams or communities.
• Eligibility for Security Clearance (SC) to work on complex Public Sector programmes.
• Desirable: experience contributing to business development alongside account and sales teams.
• Desirable: track record of helping to recover and stabilise complex or challenging projects.
• Desirable: involvement in the creation and promotion of new products or services aligned with strategic objectives.
• Desirable: active participation in professional technology communities and sharing insights on industry trends.
• Desirable: previous experience in performance management, including setting objectives and leading performance reviews.
