Principal Apps Engineer
Job Description
Salary: £40,000 - 80,000 per year
Requirements:- We have expertise in native mobile development for iOS and/or Android, with proficiency in both modern and legacy languages.
- We apply a test-driven approach to development (TDD/BDD) to ensure the stability and reliability of our mobile applications.
- We guide engineering peers by participating in thorough code reviews to maintain high standards across the codebase.
- We communicate technical concepts clearly to both internal stakeholders and external communities through presentations or meetups.
- We build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to streamline the delivery of mobile features.
- We take a proactive mindset by driving positive change and continuous improvement within a collaborative agile environment.
- We lead technical direction and discussions within the team.
- We ensure best practice and good code quality is maintained.
- We support existing and develop new features to support business needs across The Sun.
- We work with stakeholders to understand requirements and help define ticket requirements.
- We assist with the release process to deploy new features and fixes to production.
- We help with hiring, growing, and running the team.
- We are responsible for the technical strategy and tactical implementation.
