Lead Platform Architect (OpenShift)

Salary: £100,000 - 100,000 per year

Requirements:

• Experience in commercial OpenShift platform architecture
• Experience in enterprise Kubernetes platform architecture and platform lifecycle management
• Experience designing, evolving, and governing production container platforms
• Experience with platform engineering, microservices, and cloud-native technologies
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), CI/CD, and automation
• Experience in hybrid cloud and/or on-premise platform environments
• Experience with high availability, resilience, disaster recovery, and platform security
• Experience working within large enterprise, managed services, or regulated environments
• Sole UK nationality and eligibility to obtain SC Security Clearance (active SC is advantageous)

Responsibilities:

• Take ownership of the architecture and evolution of large-scale Red Hat OpenShift platforms supporting business-critical services
• Define platform strategy and influence technical direction
• Ensure enterprise OpenShift platforms remain secure, resilient, and scalable as they evolve
• Set architectural standards and shape long-term platform strategy
• Work closely with engineering teams to evolve enterprise platforms

We are recruiting for a Lead Platform Architect to join us in a hybrid role based in the Reading area, with two days per week on site. This is a strategic opportunity to work on large-scale Red Hat OpenShift platforms supporting business-critical services in complex enterprise environments. The role is up to £110,000 plus bonus.
