Lead Data Engineer

Salary: £33,000 - 65,000 per year

Requirements:

• Strong experience in a Lead/Senior Data Engineering role
• Expertise with GCP, including BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage, and Airflow
• Advanced Python and SQL skills
• Experience building scalable batch and real-time data pipelines
• Strong data modelling, CI/CD, Git, and Terraform knowledge
• Experience mentoring engineers and leading technical design

Responsibilities:

• Drive the design, development, and optimisation of a modern cloud-based data platform
• Take a hands-on leadership role combining technical architecture, delivery, and team mentorship
• Influence the future of a large-scale data platform within a highly data-driven organisation
