IT Team Leader

Salary: £45,000 - 50,000 per year

Requirements:

• Practical experience providing hands-on IT support and troubleshooting technical issues.
• Experience supporting Microsoft technologies and business IT infrastructure.
• The ability to approach technical problems in a structured and practical way.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills, as we work closely with IT colleagues, site teams and other business stakeholders.
• An interest in mentoring and developing other members of an IT team.
• A full UK driving licence and access to personal transport, as regular travel between both sites will be required.
• Experience in Microsoft 365 and Windows-based environments would be highly beneficial.
• Experience in networking, including switches, wireless networks and structured cabling, would be highly beneficial.
• Experience in virtualised server environments would be highly beneficial.
• Experience in IT projects and service improvement activities would be highly beneficial.
• Experience in manufacturing, production or other business systems would be highly beneficial.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure reliable and secure IT services across two manufacturing sites, helping to minimise downtime and improve service delivery.
• Lead and develop a team of three IT Technicians, providing guidance, support and technical expertise.
• Remain actively involved in IT support and problem-solving, assisting with technical issues where required.
• Support and improve factory-floor applications, including product traceability and labelling systems.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders to deliver local IT projects and service improvements.
• Help maintain a secure and resilient IT environment that supports day-to-day business operations.
• Coordinate priorities across both sites and ensure users are kept informed during incidents, planned changes and improvement activities.

We are looking for a hands-on IT Team Leader to support two manufacturing sites and lead a team of three IT Technicians. Based in Bridge of Allan and Perth, this is a permanent role working Monday to Friday, 08:30 to 17:00, with occasional flexibility required to support operational needs or planned project activity.
