IT Systems Engineer

Salary: £40,000 - 50,000 per year

Requirements:

• We are looking for someone with previous IT experience within a manufacturing, production or industrial environment.
• We need strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, Windows Server, Active Directory and/or Entra ID.
• We require experience supporting networks, firewalls, VPNs, Wi-Fi, DNS, DHCP and related infrastructure.
• We are looking for experience with servers, virtualisation, backups and endpoint management.
• We need a practical understanding of cyber security, access management, patching and vulnerability remediation.
• We need strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to support both technical and non-technical users.
• Experience with VMware, Veeam, Mobile Device Management and VLANs would be beneficial.

Responsibilities:

• We will expect you to provide day-to-day technical support while maintaining and improving core IT systems and infrastructure.
• We need you to support Microsoft 365, Windows Server, Active Directory, Entra ID, Teams, SharePoint and user access.
• We will rely on you to maintain and troubleshoot servers, networks, switches, firewalls, VPNs, Wi-Fi, DNS, DHCP and related infrastructure.
• We need you to provide technical support across desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, telephony and business applications.
• We expect you to support virtualisation, backups, endpoint security, patching, device compliance and cyber security activities.
• We want you to contribute to IT projects including infrastructure upgrades, migrations, application rollouts and system improvements.
• We need you to work with internal stakeholders, external IT providers and software vendors to resolve issues and maintain reliable IT services.
• We expect you to diagnose problems independently, support users directly and take ownership of technical issues through to resolution.

We are recruiting an experienced IT Systems Engineer to support, maintain and improve the IT infrastructure of an established manufacturing business in Norfolk. This is a permanent, full-time role based in Norfolk, working across both office and production environments to help ensure our business-critical IT systems remain secure, reliable and available. The role offers the opportunity to work across infrastructure, systems, security and continuous improvement in a broad, hands-on technical environment.
