IT Support Engineer
Job Description
Salary: £30,000 - 35,000 per year
Requirements:- Several years of experience in an IT Support, Infrastructure, or Systems Administration role.
- A strong understanding of IT security principles, data protection, and compliance requirements.
- Good working knowledge of Cyber Essentials and its practical application within a business environment.
- Hands-on experience supporting Microsoft 365, Azure, hardware, and software solutions.
- Solid networking knowledge, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, and firewalls.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach with strong attention to detail.
- The ability to work effectively in a fully on-site environment and provide face-to-face support to end users.
- A willingness to undergo stringent background checks due to the nature of our organisation and our clients.
- Provide day-to-day IT support, including hardware, software, networking, and user troubleshooting.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls across business systems.
- Monitor network activity and support the implementation of security best practices.
- Ensure systems are appropriately patched, updated, maintained, and documented.
- Support compliance initiatives relating to Cyber Essentials, GDPR, ISO standards, and other regulatory frameworks.
- Assist with internal and external audits, providing technical documentation and subject matter expertise.
- Maintain and improve network infrastructure, including TCP/IP and associated technologies.
- Support and administer Microsoft 365, Azure, and related cloud services.
- Work collaboratively with internal teams to ensure secure, efficient, and reliable IT operations.
