Information Systems Analyst

Salary: £38,414 - 38,414 per year

Requirements:

• Advanced Excel knowledge to build tools to collect, store, model, analyse and present data
• Power Query to extract and transform data from different sources
• Writing SQL queries for data extraction and report building
• Data modelling to bring sources together for reporting
• Ability to learn and apply new skills quickly, including Power BI, DAX, built-in reporting tools, and data engineering tools such as ADF and Fabric
• Excellent organisation and a methodical approach
• Solid understanding of information management, data governance principles, and data-related legislation
• Ability to work independently using existing technical skills

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and present information in a range of formats to tell the story
• Solve complex problems creatively and propose best-fit solutions based on different needs and priorities
• Work closely with business functions to review information needs and processes
• Collaborate with systems specialists to develop and extend existing data models within organisational systems
• Recommend, develop, and support improvements or new systems to capture and store data
• Provide robust reporting capabilities to support evidence-based decision making across the organisation
• Develop and implement the organisations information strategy within a specialist information team
• Use a variety of tools including cloud-based workflow platforms, SQL databases, Power BI, legacy Excel spreadsheets, and business systems such as HR and finance systems
