Graduate Software Support Engineer

Salary: £37,000 - 38,000 per year

Requirements:

• First Class or 2:1 degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering or another relevant STEM discipline
• Strong pre-university academics, ideally A-C A-Levels or BTEC Distinction
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving ability
• A genuine interest in technology
• The patience and curiosity to investigate difficult technical problems
• Strong communication skills
• The ability to explain technical information clearly
• Ambition to build a long-term career within technology
• Programming or coding experience
• Python, C#, Java, C++, JavaScript or similar
• SQL/database knowledge
• GitHub or personal technical projects
• Cloud technology exposure
• Previous technical support, placement or internship experience

Responsibilities:

• Investigate and resolve technical issues across enterprise software platforms
• Diagnose faults and identify the root cause of problems
• Analyse system behaviour, performance and technical data
• Support cloud-based applications and business-critical systems
• Work with Engineering and Development teams to resolve more complex issues
• Communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical users
• Document issues, solutions and technical findings
• Develop a detailed understanding of how enterprise software works in the real world

We are looking for five high-calibre STEM graduates to join our Technical Engineering team in Berkshire on a hybrid basis, typically 3-4 days in the office.
