Engineering Lead - Account Details Experience

Salary: £66,000 - 106,000 per year

Requirements:

• Experience leading teams and growing products through ongoing expansion
• Strong product mindset and passion for user experience, with the ability to prioritize customer needs and make data-driven decisions
• Great communication skills and the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences
• Ability to lead and inspire engineers to build the right things in the right way
• Ability to deliver work across multiple teams and collaborate effectively across the organization
• Ability to break down complex projects into incremental milestones that deliver customer value
• Experience developing web applications and distributed systems in a production environment
• Experience with common design and architectural patterns, and a passion for writing clean, performant, well-tested code
• Curiosity and drive for continuous learning and improvement
• Experience following and advocating coding best practices, continuous delivery, and code reviews
• Experience working with relational and non-relational databases, query optimization, and schema design is a plus
• Knowledge of Java and Spring Boot, and experience with messaging systems like Kafka, is a plus
• Willingness to take part in the on-call rotation for critical services, normally every 6–10 weeks

• Lead a team of backend and web engineers

• Work closely with Product to shape what we build next
• Help evolve a critical Wise platform that powers receiving money for millions of customers around the world
• Build the receive-to-alias experience and platform
• Build the roadmap for the next two quarters together with the Product Manager
• Join the 24/7 on-call rotation and help improve critical services
