DevOps Engineer (Cleanroom Ransomware Recovery)

Salary: £68,000 - 108,000 per year

Requirements:

• Strong experience with VMware Aria Automation
• Expert-level JavaScript skills
• Experience with Terraform (desirable)
• Familiarity with Ansible (desirable)
• Background in infrastructure automation, security, recovery, or resilience (desirable)
• Experience working with large-scale infrastructure environments (desirable)
• Versatile, experienced T-shaped DevOps or Infrastructure Engineer comfortable working across multiple technologies and operating autonomously

Responsibilities:

• Support, design, and implement infrastructure components
• Build and maintain a largely autonomous ransomware recovery environment
• Automate and test infrastructure and engineering applications
• Protect and recover application data and infrastructure configuration
• Support compute, storage, backup, archive, and converged environments
• Improve infrastructure security, recovery processes, and automation
• Manage incidents, problems, and changes within the Cleanroom
• Ensure systems meet required security standards
• Work with a small, international team of infrastructure and security specialists

We are recruiting a Cleanroom DevOps Engineer on a 12-month contract, paying £500–£600 per day inside IR35, with hybrid working in London. The role is with a major European banks Engineering & Enterprise Technology team, supporting a ransomware recovery environment designed to analyze, cleanse, and restore affected systems to production. The project supports recovery across Europe and the Americas, covering approximately 21,000 virtual machines and nearly 20PB of data.
